Is Victoria’s Secret “What is Sexy” list insulting to women or does it actually makes sense to you?

Victoria’s Secret has just released its annual “What is Sexy” list for 2016. According to the Victoria’s Secret Press release, as “the authority on what is sexy now,” the company chose women who, “embody an aspirational lifestyle” for the list.

The list is pretty much a roundup of the “sexiest” body parts…legs, hair, eyes – you know the deal…

Many of these beautiful women on the list stand out to us for much more then just being “sexy,” and they should certainly be able to celebrate their sex appeal when appropriate. But telling us what a sexy pair of lips looks like? Or sexy hair and legs? What if our daughter’s hair is so not perfectly straight like Olivia Nun’s, then is her hair not “sexy?”And who gets to say what is sexy after all?

What about confidence, grace, strength??

To prove the point, here are the winners from VS’s “What Is Sexy” list. What do you think, do you agree with the list? And more importantly, do you agree that Victoria’s Secret really does understand, and correctly portray, an aspirational lifestyle for women?
